Female rock group SCANDAL will release a new single and a best-of album in the coming months.
First of all, the single, titled HARUKAZE, will come out on February 22nd. The title track is being used as the opening theme to the anime series "BLEACH" and will be accompanied on the single by its instrumental version. It will be available in a regular edition, featuring just these two tracks, as well as two limited editions. The limited Type A will come with a cover of the song ALONES, originally recorded by Aqua Timez, and a wide-cap sticker, while the limited Type B will instead come with a cover of the song ＊~Asterisk~, originally recorded by ORANGE RANGE, plus a different wide-cap sticker.
In addition to this, SCANDAL will also release a best-of album, titled SCANDAL SHOW, on March 7th.
The band debuted back in 2008, though this will be their first best-of release. The album will feature sixteen tracks, including seven top-ten singles, such as the smash-hits Shunkan Sentimental, used as a tie-in song for the anime series "FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST" and Shojo S, used as a tie-in song with the anime series "BLEACH". The album will also include the song SCANDAL no theme, which is consistently featured in SCANDAL's live shows, but has never previously been released on CD, as well as the aforementioned new single HARUKAZE and songs chosen by each of the band members.
SCANDAL SHOW will be available in different three editions. The regular edition will be CD-only, and its first press editions will come with a wide-cap sticker. One limited edition will come with a photobook, while the other will come with a bonus DVD featuring documentary footage of SCANDAL's 2011 asian tour.
