AKB48 will be releasing a sequel to their hit documentary which will be titled “DOCUMENTARY of AKB48 Show must go on Shoujo-tachi wa Kizutsuki Nagara, Yume wo Miru”. The first documentary focused on the girls’ start, but this one will specifically be focusing on the heartache and success the girls went through in 2011.
The documentary won’t be a news segment, but will be behind-the-scenes footage of AKB48. It will show the light and darkness for AKB48 as they go back throughout the year: illnesses, concerts, the Great Tohoku Earthquake relief effort, AKB48’s General Election; fans can experience it all with AKB48. In addition to the behind-the-scenes footage there will also be heated interviews with the members as they look back.
The movie will be in theaters January 27, 2012.
