L'Arc-en-Ciel 20th Anniversary Live Hitting the Big Screens Overseas!

L'Arc~en~Ciel, celebrating their 20th anniversary, held their "20th L'Anniversary Live" at Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo on May 28th and 29th, mobilizing 100,000 fans. The lives were live broadcast in six cities overseas, including Paris, London, New York, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, as well as in 40 cinemas inside Japan, charming over 20,000 fans at once.

The special event looked back into the history of the band, focusing on songs from "DUNE" to "HEART" on the first day and songs from "ark", "ray", and "KISS" on the second day. It's almost "Best of L'Arc-en-Ciel" and was sold out as soon as the tickets were available.

When the live viewing at cinemas was announced, it became a hot issue for the fans all over the world. The lines appeared one night before the release in Taiwan and the tickets were sold out in one hour. It even hit the news of local mass media. In Hong Kong, tickets of three cinemas were sold out all together, and more screens were added. In South Korea, with two cinemas sold out quickly, they also made additional screens available which sold out as well.

In Paris, London and New York a large quantity of requests arrived as soon as information was released, which surprised the local staff.

On the live day, fans came to the cinema, bringing artists' towel, just as they would do during a real live. When the live started, fans applauded loudly. Some stood up singing along, and some even cried out loud. One could feel the excitement there almost as much as in Ajinomoto stadium.

L'Arc-en-Ciel fans in Paris also punched their fists into the air and screamed towards the screen. At the end of the concert, when the band announced the World Circuit next year, the fans just burst out in cheers.

In addition, parts of the ticket profit and the whole profit of the live will be donated to the stricken area of Japan's earthquake.
